What is Glimbo?
Glimbo is a Discord-native collectible card game where your server is the card set. It turns your community’s jokes, lore, rituals, and legendary moments into AI-generated cards that members pull, trade, clash with, and flex.
How do I add it to Discord?
Click Add to Discord, pick your server, then run
/launch. Glimbo creates your server’s Launch Pack — its first set of cards — within minutes.Does Glimbo read private messages?
No. Glimbo never reads DMs or private channels. It only works from the channels it’s been given access to, and admins control exactly which ones those are.
Does Glimbo use member faces?
Not by default. Cards are generated from server culture — jokes, moments, lore — not from anyone’s face. Member-likeness cards exist only as an opt-in: the member uploads their own reference and confirms, and the server has to allow the feature. No upload, no likeness.
Can admins control where it runs?
Yes. Admins choose the channels Glimbo can see and post in, control drop frequency and features, and can pause or remove it at any time. Standard Discord permissions apply.
How many cards are free?
Every server gets a free Launch Pack plus ongoing free daily cards and earnable Unpack Tickets — the first fun never requires paying. Optional Credits exist for members who want to generate more, faster.
What does it cost?
The core game is free — every server gets a free Launch Pack, free daily server cards, and members earn free Unpack Tickets by playing. For people who want more, optional Credit packs start from $1.99 for extra card generation, and a Server Plus upgrade ($14.99/mo) unlocks bigger launch sets and more server-wide cards. What happens if we remove Glimbo?
Removing the bot immediately stops it from reading or posting anywhere in your server. Your server’s card data isn’t deleted automatically — cards already owned by members stay in their collections. If you want to erase personal data (AI-art consent, likeness usage, stored lore, and profile info), members can request that separately. Manage your data.
Is this crypto or NFT stuff?
No. No blockchain, no NFTs, no cash-out, no speculation. Cards live in your Discord community, and the in-game currency (Glimbux) is earned by playing and only spendable in the game.
Can members trade cards?
Yes — trading is core. Members buy, sell, and trade on their server’s market, build collections, challenge each other to clashes, and show off rare pulls on their profiles.
